WWE legend Triple H feared that he could DIE after having surgery on his heart last year.
Triple H is one of the most renowned wrestlers in history. After it became clear that his health had taken a drastic downturn in 2021, naturally, his fans feared the worst.
After he announced his retirement from wrestling following the cardiac episode he suffered, the misery of his loyal fanbase was deepened.
That’s just from the outside looking in, though. To have lived through it, from his own perspective, must have been traumatic and terrifying. He’s now provided insight.
Quoted by The Sun, during an interview with combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani, Triple H reaffirmed exactly what was at stake for him during the period of ill health.
“In some way, it’s a gift to look at your life from those eyes. If they tell you you’re going to die on Tuesday, no one is going to go, ‘Well s***, I have a board meeting on Friday!’ It’s irrelevant!”
“I love what I do, I love the passion, I love being a part of creating a magic of what we do in WWE for people all around the world. It’s my passion in life, but it doesn’t compare to my passion for my kids or my wife.
“That can all go away, you think of life differently,” he said. That helps put into perspective just how trivial losing Triple H from WWE was in the greater scheme of things…
