Dutch side ADO Den Haag had the most unlikely hero on the pitch last night – when their goalkeeper scored a goal of the season contender in stoppage team to nick a draw.
The team were losing 2-1 to Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, but were awarded a free-kick in a dangerous area with seconds left to play in the match.
In time-honoured fashion, goalkeeper Martin Hansen went up with the rest of his team in the hunt for an equaliser.
Normally the best you can hope for from a ‘keeper is to get their head on a cross, but not Hansen.
He pulled off this stunning backheel volley to rescue a point for his team.
It would have been an impressive goal from a striker – unbelievable from a ‘keeper.
