Joe Brolly outdid himself yesterday on The Sunday Game, coming up with his most NSFW line yet when analysing the All-Ireland semi-final between Kerry and Tyrone.
The Kingdom won the match, but the controversial pundit felt the northern side were harshly treated by referee Maurice Deegan.
That’s not exactly how he put it though.
Maurice Deegan, in the second half, he did something to Tyrone that normally happens between consenting adults in private,” Brolly said after the match.
He was referring in particular to an incident in the second half when substitute Padraig McNulty was booked for diving near the Kerry goal. Brolly and the other members of the panel felt it should have been a penalty.
Brolly said: “It was an obvious penalty and there’s no point in trying to gloss over that.”
