The Wallabies did something amazing today before the final Tri Nations clash against Argentina today, they sang their national anthem in an indigenous language.
Olivia Fox, a proud indigenous Wiradjuri woman was given the honour of singing the anthem in Eora. Eora is a language spoken mainly around Sydney, there are roughly 120 indigenous languages spoken currently in Australia so choosing what one to sing in must have been tough but the Wallabies have nailed it.
You can see the passion in the players faces as they belt out the anthem. Fox made sure the players knew the lyrics before today as it’s such a huge moment for everyone.
