It seems like Alistair Overeem’s time in the UFC has come to an end with the fighter vowing to make one final push for the title before retiring just weeks ago.
Volkov put on a dominant display over the 40 year old and walked him down through the first round, working his body and head.
STATEMENT MADE.

The fight took it’s toll on the veteran heavyweight and a punch taken on Overeem right hand side of his face finished the fight with Overeem collapsing to the ground and the referee having to stop the fight.
Volkov will surely go on to fight for the title now but is this the final fight we’ll see out of Alistair?
I still love this sport, the training and everything about it. But I also have to be realistic: my time is coming to an end.

If he is retiring we will soon see an update on his twitter.
The crunch from Volkov’s left hook is terrifying to hear.
Whatever he hits, he destroys! 💥

Once the fight was over Alistair collapsed to his knees in the centre of the octagon with blood pouring from the bridge of his nose.
