Liverpool powerhouse Virgil van Dijk has released a very promising video on Twitter showing the progress he’s making following his serious injury earlier in the year during the Merseyside Derby.
Van Dijk was subbed off just 10 minutes into the Merseyside Derby back in October after being clattered by a clumsy Jordan Pickford tackle.

It was a devastating blow for Liverpool after scans revealed van Dijk had seriously damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
The Dutch international has been sidelined since and been in rehabilitation and the signs are looking good after the Liverpool defender posted footage of him making his way back ‘Step by step…’
Van Dijk is expected to miss the entire 2020/21 season along with Joe Gomez who is also one of the members of Jurgen Klopp’s long injury list.

Despite the severity of the injury Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that Van Dijk is “in a really good mood.”
“He’s as good as you can be in this situation, Virgil is a very positive person and since he overcame the shock of the actual injury, he is in a really good mood and working hard to get back.
“But this is a very long, long-term injury so it was still, I have to say, a crazy challenge which I still don’t understand. I don’t think about it but you ask me and it comes up.
“It is a very, very serious injury and it will take time but he makes the steps he can make in the moment.”
