Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson is one tough man!
Ferguson, 36, who is a fight fan’s favourite showcased exactly why he’s considered one of the sport’s toughest competitors during Saturday night’s lightweight match-up against Charles Oliveira.
The California born mixed martial artist came into UFC 256’s exciting co-main event off the back of a devastating loss to Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje and would have been desperate to get back into the ‘win column’.
However, try as he might, it wasn’t to be as the tricky 155lb fighter ended up suffering a unanimous defeat to his Brazilian counterpart.
Arguably one of the fight’s best moments came just seconds before the end of the first round as Oliveira executed a vicious armbar on Ferguson’s outstretched limb, however, in a showing of pure grit and determination, ‘El Cucuy’ refused to give-up.
