In March of 2019, Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev was banned by the California Boxing commission after forcibly kissing a reporter in a post fight interview. This is the same Kubrat Pulev who will be facing off against Anthony Joshua in the ring this weekend.

Kubrat Pulev‘s ban from boxing was lifted after completing a sexual harassment prevention class in July of last year with his ban only lasting under 4 months. Should he have been banned for longer as the forced kiss cause outrage on social media around the world with many thinking it disrepectful that he was allowed back in the ring so soon after his offence.
