Arsenal were dominated by Pep’s Manchester City side today and Mahrez was able to get onto the scoresheet during the 4-1 win. Mahrez took a free-kick with the score at 1-1 and was ‘surprised’ it went in. He was also surprised with the position of Arsenal’s debutant Runarsson.
He didn’t move and Mahrez’s shot which was directly at him managed to slip through his hands and into the back of the net. This is not the kind of shot you want to concede on your debut. Mahrez couldn’t believe his luck and Man City used that momentum to move from 1 goal up to finishing 3 goals ahead of the London side.
Will Arteta be able to hold onto his job at the Gunners?

Here is Mahrez’s free-kick that went in:
"It's like a bar of soap." 🧼
Oh dear! Runarsson won't want to see this one again. Mahrez's free-kick goes straight through his hands. It's a howler.
