Video: Leno Saves A Chelsea Penalty In Injury Time

Arsenal and Chelsea finished 3-1 today in favour of the Gunners but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t upset in the dying minutes. Chelsea fans believed they were on their way to an amazing Christmas comeback with a goal from Tammy Abraham in the 85′ and a penalty for a challenge on Mason Mount in the 90′. The regular penalty taker and fellow German Timo Werner was not on the pitch so former penalty taker Jorginho stepped up to the plate.

His infamous and unorthodox way of taking penalties hadn’t been seen in sometime since he missed a couple in a row but Frank gave him the chance to shine again. Unlucky for Jorginho, Bernd had his number as he guessed the right direction and Leno managed to get down to his left in time and get a strong hand on the ball as the Italian liked to sacrifice power for precision. Arsenal then managed to hold onto their 2 goal lead for the rest of the game.

If Jorginho had scored this, do you think Chelsea would have made a comeback?

Will this be the last time we see the Italian step up to the penalty spot for Chelsea?
