The LA Lakers secured a playoff spot last night thanks to a game-winning three from LeBron James, which saw them defeat the Warriors in dramatic circumstances.
LeBron had taken a blow to the eye from Warriors’ power forward Draymond Green, one which left him with triple vision. Post-match, LeBron was quoted by Sky Sports saying:
“After Draymond’s finger went in my eye, I was seeing three rims out there. I just aimed for the middle one.”
The flawless logic from the NBA superstar actually paid off, too. With seconds left on the shot clock, LeBron attempted a three, evidently aiming for the middle bucket in his triple vision.
Thankfully for LeBron, and anyone with any affiliation to the LA Lakers, it landed.
From 34 feet away … with the clock running out … to win the game.

The Lakers will now face the Phoenix Suns in a seven game series, starting this Sunday. They will be desperately hoping that there has been no lasting damage done to LeBron’s eye.
Its moments like this that James has made a career out of. Just when hopes are fading, when the word ‘impossible’ comes into play, LeBron steps up to the mark to make the difference.
A true sporting superstar.
