Middleweight powerhouse Kevin Holland enjoyed a superb night at the office at Saturday’s UFC 256 after knocking out veteran Jacare Souza.
Holland, 28, who boasted a decent 20-5 record prior to Saturday’s exciting match-up at 185lb extended his current win streak to five after putting on a performance against Souza.
The quickly emerging title-challenger came into Saturday’s bout off the back of a classy October win against Charlie Ontiveros.
Arguably though, the ‘Trailblazer’s’ most impressive and significant performance was his dominate display against the hugely experienced Souza.
It took the 28-year-old American just 75-seconds of the first round to spark Souza, most impressively though, he did it from a grounded position.
Holland found himself on his back with Souza seemingly the fighter in the more controlling position, however, after carefully lining up a hook off his back, Holland unleashed a devastating blow which visibly rocked his Brazilian opponent.
