Man City then went up a gear, relentlessly throwing attack after attack at the Chelsea defence.
In the 30th minute, they were handed their reward.
Havertz who was having a poor game, for some reason decided to punch a Man City cross away as it entered the box.

Julian Alvarez stepped up and powered the penalty past Kepa Arizzabalaga and into the bottom corner.
