What a night for Caoimhin Kelleher, making his European debut for the Merseyside Club at 22. Jurgen Klopp gave him his big chance as Alisson pulled out just before the game with a tight hamstring and will miss the Premier League game with Wolves at the Weekend.
Caoimhin proved to Klopp why he should be starting more often as he made 2 vital saves against Ajax tonight which secured the 3 points for his club.
An amazing point blank save late in the second half made sure that Ajax were not able to scrape a draw. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar headed in at some power in the 88′ and Caoimhin was a brick wall to stop it from going into the back of the net.
