Hamilton Academical have sacked club commentator Bobby Bulloch after saying that “I went away for a jobby at half time” live on air.
The commentator’s poor attempt at humour has ultimate cost him his job after the club found it was poor conduct and Bulloch had over stepped the mark.
The gaffe happened during the half-time break when Bulloch chose the wrong topic to cover as he was trying to commentate on Hamilton’s six-point relegation battle showdown with Ross County on Wednesday night.
“I went away for a jobby at half time.”
“Had to squeeze quite a bit”.Scottish football commentary is undefeated. Sadly, this Hamilton commentator got sacked. I’d tune in again. pic.twitter.com/QwmBe8Aa2Y

For those of you who don’t know – a jobby is Scottish slang for ‘poo’ so ultimately the co-commentator had just told everyone listening that he had just been to the loo and “Had to squeeze quite a bit”.
It all started to go down hill for Bulloch when he arrived late for the second half and apologised for not switching his microphone on before revealing to everyone why he was late and that he had just been for a ‘wee jobby.’
A contractor used by the club on summarising / co-commentary duties overstepped the mark this evening with a very poor attempt at humour. The club didn’t find this funny, and the person will not be used again. Our apologies for this.

The club released a statement which was clearly unimpressed with Bulloch’s behaviour which stated: ‘The club didn’t find this funny, and the person will not be used again. Our apologies for this.’
