If you’ve ever wondered what 30 year old Chelsea reject Danny Drinkwater is up to, he’s getting sent off against Spurs U23 for retaliating against 16 year Tottenham player, Alfie Devine. After a rash challenge from Alfie, Danny kicks the back of the youngsters legs as he tries to run away, sparking outrage and the rest of the Spurs squad coming to Alfie’s defence, kicking off a long scenario involving plenty of handbags.

Talk about a fall from grace for the man that Chelsea paid £35m in 2017, will he be able to make it back in Lampard’s squad or will actions like this halt his progress even more? He has featured twice in the Premier League 2 so far this season registered no goals or assists. A player of his caliber should be showing his expertise and experience and ability to keep his cool in situations like this but he seems frustrated and taking it out on the younger players.
