Players taking the knee has become a controversial talking point in recent weeks with Millwall fans becoming some of the first to boo. This caused quite a stir online with many people condemning the fans who waited months to see their team play live just to boo them for supporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
It seems Millwall fans were not the only people to disagree with players still taking the knee as a section of Cambridge United fans began booing at the start of their game against Colchester at home as well, this is when another section of fans decided to drown out the boos with their clapping leading to a war of who could do it the loudest.
Should the players no longer take the knee before games or keep doing it? What do you think?
Boos were drowned out by applause as players took a knee at the start of Cambridge United's League Two match at home to Colchester tonight.
