Amazing scenes in Madrid as German side Borussia Monchengladbach celebrate qualifying for the Knockout stage of the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
Monchengladbach were beaten by Zinedine Zidane’s men today with Karim Benzema scoring a brace to top the group. It all came down to Shakhtar Donetsk vs Inter Milan in the San Siro which was being played at the same time.
When the Madrid Borussia game came to an end the German side ran to the sideline to watch the end of the Inter game on a tablet and when the final whistle blew they knew they had qualified for the next stage. They then ran onto the pitch to celebrate making history for their club. What an amazing site.
