Arteta has come to defence of his midfielder Granit Xhaka when questions arose of his future at the club. Granit has had some shaky moments at Arsenal football club with his hot head getting him in trouble with fans.
In Arsenal’s loss to Burnley at home at the weekend, Granit lost his head in the 58′, grabbing a Burnley player by the neck and choking leading the Swiss midfielder to get a straight red card. Arsenal are in a tough place right now, 15th in the League and Arteta is under pressure, something has to change and fans have called for the Spaniard to get rid of Xhaka but Mikel has come to his defence today in a press conference.
When asked about Granit’s future, Arteta’s response was –
“He made a mistake, we all make mistakes”.
What do you think of this approach from Arteta, should he get rid of Granit? He seems like a liability.
