Achraf Hakimi broke Spanish hearts when he dinked the ball down the middle to send Morocco in to the quarter finals, becoming the first African side to win a shootout in World Cup history.
After a very cagey 120 minutes, the game was destined to be decided by penalties.
You would assume that an experienced international team like Spain would have the advantage here, but they had an absolute nightmare.
Pablo Sarabia, who was substituted on just to take a penalty struck the post with Spain’s first. Instantly setting the tone for the rest of the team who would all go on to miss their spot kicks.

It all came down to Hakimi, who’s penalty could send his nation through. Without batting an eyelid, the PSG full back strolled up and paneka’d the ball down the middle.

Morocco will now face either Portugal or Switzerland in the quarter finals and will hope to keep riding this underdog wave.
