In soccer the rule for a long time is a club can’t record the game is under 18s are playing, without the written permission of the opposition.

So clubs will likely in their own membership have it written that they can record.

But the issue comes with recording opposition players.

This also applies to LGFA as it has been referred to The Data Protection Commissioner and National Children’s Office

How about other similar platforms like Spiideo or Pixxelot? It would seem a bit targeted to single out Veo?

This was sent from Croke park a few weeks ago. Not only do they say that veo cannot be used if anyone u18 is playing but also that any individual can object to their image being captured and this objection must be respected, which means the camera can not be used while they train or play.

I know many schools use veo and find it very useful but I guess they cannot use it anymore.

Also this appears to be specific to Veo in the unique way it captures processes and shares video. So could one team use a traditional camera setup and object to the opposition using the veo camera?

Or is this just going to be one of these things that everyone kinda ignores?

Hold on how is it legal to televise the minor championship then?
