Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has been criticised for offering his support to the controversial UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett.
Considering that Paddy ‘The Baddy’ is a Liverpool supporter and virtually his only personality trait is the fact that he’s a scouser, it probably shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that he earned recognition from one of the Reds’ biggest names after his first-round win at UFC London.
However, Virgil Van Dijk, and any other Liverpool player keen to give Paddy credit, ought to consider what kind of person they’re aligning themselves with. The Dutchman was swiftly reminded on Twitter of some of Pimblett’s past, less than politically-correct public statements.
