“Impossible” – Oleksandr Usyk speaks out on prospect of Tyson Fury fight

Oleksandr Usyk has provided insight into when he could fight Tyson Fury to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Usyk and Fury are now on a collision course, with the heavyweight division FINALLY set to crown its first undisputed champion of this enthralling era.

The Gypsy King has returned from his supposed retirement to express an interest in fighting Usyk, with the Ukrainian accepting without a flinch.

While Fury has revealed his desire to stage the fight in December, it doesn’t look as though Usyk is too keen on that swift a turnaround from the Joshua win.

Usyk is quoted by The Sun saying that he wants some time to sit back and chillax with his family, outside of the gym, which you certainly can’t blame him for.

“Fighting Tyson Fury in December is impossible. First, I have old injuries. Second, I just don’t want to box in December. I haven’t left the gym for half a year, I want to be with my children, my family.”

Fury will have no choice but to remain patient for this fight to happen, but it certainly looks like it WILL happen, which is ultimately all we care about…
