History has been made on the fifth day of the 2022 World Cup as Uruguay vs South Korea ended goalless, with neither side registering a shot on target, the first match to have that happen this century.
Supporters will have no doubt been expecting some goals during the game, with the likes of Heung-Min Son, Darwin Nunez, Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani all featuring, but the match never truly got going for either team, as they shared the points to kick off their respective campaigns.

Despite there being 17 shots between the sides, the quality was lacking as supporters hope there will be more to come from the pair, who will want to give their fans something to cheer about as the tournament progresses.
This result was the fourth 0-0 in two days at the tournament, four times more goalless draws than there were at Russia 2018, when France drew 0-0 with Denmark in the group stages.
Uruguay face Portugal next on Monday, while South Korea play Ghana on the same day.
