(Photos) Yordenis Ugas’ eye left BATTERED after gruelling Errol Spence tussle

Yordenis Ugas’ eye was left in quite the state ahead of the tenth round stoppage in his bout with Errol Spence on Saturday evening.

In a memorable night of boxing, Erol Spence successfully reaffirmed his status as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet after successfully stopping Yordenis Ugas.

It wasn’t without difficulty, with Ugas showing heart, skill, determination and will, with his own punch power leaving Spece in trouble himself in the midst of the fight.

However, in the latter rounds, it became clear that Ugas could no longer continue, such was the state of his right eye which had swollen shut.

Spence may well have shattered Ugas’ orbital bone with a quite venomous uppercut. It’s the kind of injury that can end careers, so you can take no chances with it.

We hope that Ugas is able to make a full recovery and fight again before too long, because he and Spence put on a real spectacle for those in attendance and watching around the world.
