Safe to say Tyson Fury has come a long way in the sport.
βThe Gypsy Kingβ is one of the biggest names in boxing and as such he commands the top money.
Even at the start of his career he earnt above average purses as he once revealed when discussing his deal with his first promoter Mick Hennessy.
Speaking to IFL TV he said:
βThirty-three grand a year for three years, and nine grand for my first one [fight], so really I got forty-two grand for my first fight, which wasnβt bad back in the day. βI was a millionaire back then. Iβve probably still got that forty-two grand, you know?β

Not too shabby but now when you compare it against the fees he took home for the Francis Ngannou and Oleksandr Usyk fights then it pales into insignificance.
According to reports Fury is believed to have received a whopping Β£116 million for his defeat to Usyk in May.
In December he rematches the Ukrainian and is looking to avenge the first defeat of his career.
