Tyson Fury has ruled out fighting one of the heavyweight contenders.
‘The Gypsy King’ rematches Oleksandr Usyk on December 21st aiming to win his old WBC title back and claim the WBO and WBA straps in the process.
Interestingly his teammate and close friend Joseph Parker is next inline for a shot at whoever holds the full WBO belt.

But when the British heavyweight was asked last year if he would ever entertain a fight with Parker, Fury, who was the WBC heavyweight champion at the time, replied: “Definitely not.
“No. I’d rather give him the belt than fight him for it.
“He doesn’t need to fight me, I don’t want to get beat up, sorry!”
Parker claimed the WBO ‘interim’ title by beating Zhilei Zhang in his last outing in March.
The Kiwi is one of the division’s inform fighters having won his last five fights since he was defeated by Joe Joyce in 2022.

It’s widely expected that the winner of the IBF title clash between Daniel Dubois vs. Anthony Joshua will fight the winner of the Fury and Usyk rematch.
After that Parker could very well get his shot at the WBO title.
