We’re going to go out on a limb and suggest the GMP Urmston Twitter account was being manned by a United fan last night.
The account posts updates from police officers in various areas around Manchester including Carrington, Trafford Park, Urmston & Woodsend.
Last night they shared news of a robbery at a Sports Direct store, and used the opportunity to have a cheeky swipe at the blue half of the city.
Their tweet said: “Large amount of Utd tops stolen, let us know if you get offered one. Unsurprisingly City tops not touched.”

The tweeter, who signs himself “Insp Z” (great name) later added: “Hope my football joke didn’t upset too many people. #Banter”.
No serious incidents to report in Trafford overnight. Hope my football joke didn't upset too many people. #Banter - Insp Z signing off.

We don’t think it will have bothered Manchester City fans too much though, they are probably still on a high from beating Chelsea 3-0.
