Tony Bellew believes a British heavyweight should retire after his latest performance.
Joe Joyce recently lost to veteran heavyweight Derek Chisora on points and was even dropped by the former world title challenger.
At 38 years of age itâs hard to imagine how Joyce can climb back up the rankings having also suffered back-to-back defeats to the hard-hitting Zhilei Zhang.
And former Cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew has urged the 2016 Olympic silver medalist to call it a day.

Speaking to Casino Apps he said: âIâve thought Joe Joyce has been done for a while. I donât think heâll ever recover from the Zhilei Zhang fight. Joeâs greatest asset is his durability. Joeâs greatest asset is his toughness and the way he takes punches, thatâs gone.
âWhen youâre getting dropped in fights, itâs just time for him to stop because heâs so slow and so predictable.â
âItâs just an accident waiting to happen. So I hope Joe walks away because I donât want to see him get hurt. Heâs a lovely man. A lovely, lovely fella.
Recently Bellew himself was called out for a fight by Derek Chisora, but similarly heâs urged his old friend to walk away from the sport.
âAnd the same goes for Derek [Chisora]â, Bellew added, âI love Derek. I mean, heâs just gotta stop saying my bleeding name!â
