What a cracking test match that was yesterday between two giants of world rugby in South Africa and New Zealand at a sold out Emirate Airline Park in Johannesburg.

South Africa managed to comeback from being behind to come out winners in the end and will surely win the Rugby Championship now.

Spoke to my referee friend. Apparently referees are not having abuse any longer. Its always been a penalty, but they haven’t done it for long, but its a some sort of directive at all levels now. Club match 3 weeks ago referee red carded 2 players.

Context. He was shouting at him at almost every breakdown from minute 1.

I actually like this call. The game was on and TJ should just play ball, not do his best Nic White impression.

      1. With all due respect Pat, apartheid wasn’t 300 years. It started in 1948 and went on for 46 years too long. Although some say it has switched sides, I don’t believe it and most South Africans want to thrive together. We’ll ignore the politicians and their paid activists who stir divides, and make South Africa successful!

    3. I think you are forgetting the 10+ years of Richie McCaw doing what he wanted on the field. Not to mention the fact that nobody was allowed to tackle Dan Carter without getting a yellow card. (Just ask Bismark). Then there is the whole Bryce Lawrence thing that everyone has decided to forget about.
      Now World Rugby are changing rules specifically to prejudice the power SA possess, and you want to complain about 2 marginal calls. Notice you said nothing about Sacha being timed out on first conversion but never had a problem with Mckenzie going about 5 seconds long and nothing was said. Get a life dude. Or better. A rule.
