Did Thomas Muller beat Germany boss Joachim Löw into calling him up for the Euros this summer? One eagle-eyed Twitter user has a theory…
Muller has not been in the Germany fold since 2019, with Löw having informed him and Mats Hummels that they would no longer be getting the call for their country.
Yet, when the 26-man Germany squad for the Euros was announced, both players’ names were in there, which has sparked some pretty interesting theories on social media.
One of those, which has gone viral, is that Muller has taken his spot in the squad by force, beating Löw until he agreed to put his name down to be on the plane.

It is a pretty hilarious coincidence, and there ought to be an explanation provided as to why Muller has cuts across his knuckles. We always suspected he had evil in him.
Löw is no pushover, though. We don’t anticipate we will ever be seeing him in a ring with Muller, but if we were to, you’d expect him to give as good as he was getting.
The more likely explanation is that Löw has been watching Timo Werner in action for Chelsea and had to call upon drastic measures in hope of making it past the group stage.
