Spain defeated England in Berlin last night to be crowned the European champions for a fourth time.
Gareth Southgate’s men failed to win a trophy for the Three Lions at the final hurdle again.
The Spaniards were easily the best team in the tournament and showed that again in the final with goals from Nico Williams (47′) and Mikel Oyarzabal (86′) either side of Cole Palmers fine strike securing them the win.
Pre-tournament not many fancied the Spanish team to lift the trophy and Gary Neville had pinpointed Chelsea star Marc Cucurella as a weakness in their team.
Following the win the 25 year-old took to Instagram to respond to the United legend’s criticism.

Spain became European champions as hosts in 1964, in 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, in 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, and in 2024 in Germany. They are currently the only team with four titles.
