Graeme Souness absolutely slated West Ham’s Kurt Zouma as part of Sky Sports’ Super Sunday coverage.
Sky Sports had, pardon the pun, pussyfooted around the issue prior to Souness’ intervention. He was not prepared to allow the topic to be discussed without his opinion being made known.
Zouma, who was supposed to start this afternoon before a late alteration to the teamsheet, has been the target of intense criticism over the past week, with Souness the latest to slate the Frenchman.

Graeme Souness on Kurt Zouma:
“I’ve not no sympathy for him. The fact that they put it on social media, means they think there is nothing wrong with it. For me, I wouldn’t have played him again this year and if I was still a player, I wouldn’t want to play in a team with him” 👏 pic.twitter.com/FfozPeLHX4

There has been some suggestion that people are making too much out of the issue, but when it comes to defenceless animals, there really is nothing funny about booting and slapping it.
It raises serious questions over Zouma’s character, his morals and you can completely understand why Souness would not want to be in the dressing room with a player like that…
