An image was posted online of what Bruno Fernandes’ goal would’ve looked like if Marcus Rashford wasn’t there.
There was a major controversy in Manchester United’s 2-1 win against bitter rivals, Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United’s equalizing goal was initially ruled out because Rashford was clearly in an offside position but the goal was then overturned after the referee deemed he didn’t touch the ball.

City fans were furious with the decision, arguing that he was still influencing play by being there and the goal should’ve been chalked off.

Now a Man City fan has photoshopped Rashford out of the incident to prove that he was in fact influencing play.
A Twitter user by the name of @BlueCityBrian posted the altered image and claimed that the ‘refs got it majorly wrong’.
Remove rashford out. Play is 100% changed:
A) Akanji would get to the ball
B) Edersons entire positioning is wrong based on an offside playerRefs got it majorly wrong and either cost us the full 3 points or at least 1 point. No one should be trying to justify this. pic.twitter.com/4j129zEWUs
