🚨 Shock new name ‘in the frame’ to be next Manchester United manager

Erik ten Hag’s future as Manchester United manager is under increasing scrutiny.

The Red Devils have not set the world alight this season and sit in lowly fourteenth having already suffered three defeats this season.

In fact, their eight points from seven games so far is the club’s worst start in the Premier League era and worst to any season since 1989/90.

On Saturday they welcome Brentford to Old Trafford and another poor result could spell the end of Ten Hag’s reign.

Many managers have been linked to the prestigious yet challenging job ranging from Gareth Southgate, Graham Potter and even Thomas Tuchel before he was snapped up as the new England boss.

But, according to Turkish outlet Ajansspor, Vincenzo Montella is in the frame following the job he has done at Turkey.

The Italian has been in charge of the Turkish national team since 2023 and guided them to the quarter-finals of this summer’s Euro 2024.

Previously, the ex-Roma striker has coached Fiorentina, AC Milan, Sevilla and Adana Demirspor among his past clubs.
