While the defeat to Los Blancos sealed their exit from the Champions League, Sheriff will continue their European tour in the Europa League, with Shakhtar Donetsk no longer able to match their points tally.
That’s the good news for the Moldovan minnows, the bad is that Adama Traore is currently in an unknown condition having fallen to the floor unchallenged during last night’s contest.

Traore is the latest in a string of footballers and elite sportsmen to have had similar episodes, whether it be during competitive matches or training sessions.

The reasoning behind it – or even whether these incidents are connected or rather a complete coincidence – is unknown.
What we will say is that we hope Adama is feeling better today and will not have to miss any considerable amount of action for Sheriff.
And, of course, if there is anything specific that is causing elite sportsmen to drop like flies, we trust that it’s being looked into and a solution will be found.
