Liverpool have drawn level with Man City merely 47 seconds into the second half of this season’s biggest game.
Ahead of the fixture, this game was billed as potentially pivotal in determining the outcome of the Premier League season, with City and Liverpool separated by merely a point.
Considering the extent of the build-up, nobody would have been surprised if the match finished 0-0 without any sort of inspiration or entertainment.
However, after a breathless first half, which saw City head into the dressing room 2-1 in the lead, Liverpool set the tone for the second period after just 47 seconds.
Mohamed Salah slotted the ball through into the path of Sadio Mane, who was fortunate to still be on the pitch after a poor first half, with the Senegalese attacker beating Ederson with a fine finish.
Game on!
