England have been hit with a massive blow with the news that George Ford is ruled out for their summer tour to New Zealand. The Sale Sharks number ten has been playing some great stuff and is always a man that you’d rely on to knock over the three points.
See the news below with some of the comments underneath ..
🏴 NEW: George Ford has been ruled out for England's Summer Tour with an Achilles injury.
Ford joins Ellis Genge and Ollie Chessum on the injured list.
Looks like it's going to be a straight shootout between Marcus and Fin Smith for the starting fly-half spot…#EnglandRugby

Has to be Fin, got a much higher ceiling than Marcus imo and should be exposed to running the team now
Start Finn, particularly if we’re going Furbank at 15. Smith can then change the game at 10 or fill the same role as Furbank at 15
I love Fin and long term should be him, but in the two semi finals and final he’s not been convincing, struggled with the hype imo. Should be Marcus now
This Loss of FORD may prove to be a bigger blow than is realized at this moment..
In the view of a NZer, George Ford is a solid workhorse. However if you want to beat NZ you will need a someone who can light the backline up.
How is this a “massive blow”? Marcus and Finn Smith are both more than capable of taking over. Some might see this as a “massive oportunity” to finally see England play some expansive rugby.
