Today sees the rekindling of an old rivalry between Manchester United and Leeds United with Leeds coming back to the Premier League after 16 years. Rio Ferdinand was a player for both clubs and even captained the Leeds United side before making a record breaking transfer from the Midland’s club to Manchester United where he won numerous trophies under Sir Alex.
Rio is a well know figure in united history after staying their for 12 years, he has criticised every United manager since Ferguson but has shown nothing but support for Ole, especially after his clip saying ‘Ole is at the wheel, Man United are back’ went so viral.
A Leeds fan took the opportunity to take a dig at Rio bu Rio answered back on twitter humiliating the club and numerous fans in the process.

Rio’s brilliant response was
“I had to win trophies mate – apologies!!”
Leeds fans are understandably not pleased with the response but you love to see rivalry from former players and current fans.
