Declan Rice has been absolutely SLATED on Twitter for his rather questionable comments on England after last night’s defeat to Italy.
Rice and co were unable to prevent themselves from being defeated at the San Siro and subsequently dropped down into the lower tier of the Nations League, a new low in Gareth Southgate’s tenure.
Despite deep runs into the World Cup 2018 and Euro 2020, it doesn’t look as though England have a hope in hell of succeeding in Qatar in their current state. They’d do well to get out the group.
Still, Rice is remaining optimistic that England will indeed pull it out the bag at the World Cup. Speaking post-match, he reassured Three Lions supporters that they have been looking good… in training.

Rather predictably, this has not gone down well among the furious England Twitter community, who were left absolutely furious by what they saw in Milan on Friday evening.
Rice has been slated in the replies to the aforementioned tweet by ESPN…
He’s finished
