F1 racing icon Michael Schumacher only communicates using his eyes, it’s understood.
Not many details have been released as to the full extent of his injuries, but ex-wife of former F1 boss Flavio Briatore, Elisabetta Gregoraci previously revealed that Schumacher communicates ‘only through his eyes’.
She said: “Michael doesn’t speak, he communicates with his eyes. Only three people can visit him and I know who they are. They moved to Spain and his wife has set up a hospital in that house.”
Over a decade ago, Schumacher suffered life-changing injuries when he hit his head on a rock whilst skiing in the French Alps.
Despite surviving the sickening collision, the seven-time F1 champion spent several months in a medically induced coma and he has since been cared for by his wife Corinna and a team of medical professionals.
Recently, the 55-year-old is said to have been seen in public for the first time in many years, having attended the wedding of his daughter Gina-Maria.
The 27-year-old married her new husband Iain Bethke last Saturday in a lavish ceremony at their family villa in Majorca.
Media outlets in Germany have reported that the Formula 1 icon was part of the private ceremony at his family’s luxury villa in Majorca.
BILD claimed that it is ‘very likely’ that the seven-time F1 world champion was present to watch his daughter get married although guests were not permitted to take pictures of the event according to reports.
