The Premier League player who was arrested on Monday over an alleged rape has been questioned over a further two attacks, reports the Telegraph.
News broke on Monday that the Premier League player, who is described as internationally renowned, was arrested in the early hours of the morning after as many as six police cars turned up at his address.
The player, who cannot be named for legal reasons but is in his late 20s, is due to jet off on a pre-season tour with his teammates, but news of his arrest cast doubt over whether he will be present.
Any possibility there was over him still participating may well now have disappeared, with the Telegraph reporting that while being held by police he was arrested over another two alleged attacks against a different woman.
This is very much a developing story. His club are understood to have been informed about the ongoing police investigations. Whether they will be taking action against him while the investigations take place remains to be seen.
