The Sun are reporting that Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy was stopped by police and had his 1 of 900, limited edition Lamborghini Aventador SVJ seized.
The Frenchman was found to be driving without insurance or a valid driving license on November 15th.
The offence happened over 20 days ago and Mendy still has not claimed his car from a local secure pound. Once a car is seized it usually stays ina pound for 14 days before being crushed or sold at auction so why is his Lamborghini still there, because he has made it clear that he wants it back.
Once Benjamin produces relevant paper work he will get his car back after paying a fine, but it has been some amount of time and he has produced nothing.
A source for the Sun has said that:
“Ben is a great footballer but he’s not great on bureaucratic details like paperwork. He didn’t realise he wasn’t insured so it’s a monumental blunder on his part. He’s desperately trying to correct it but the fact it’s now 20 days since his car was seized, he’s at risk of it being destroyed.”
Look at how nice this car is, it would be a shame if it was destroyed. Will he get it back in time?
