🚨 Phil Foden leaves England’s Euro 2024 camp

Phil Foden has temporarily left England’s Euro 2024 camp in Germany due to a “pressing family matter.

The Manchester City star is expected to return to the squad in time for Sunday’s game.

An FA spokesperson said that he “temporarily left the England camp and returned to the UK for a pressing family matter”.

So far the midfielder has played all three games for Gareth Southgate’s men, but like the rest of the team he has come under fierce criticism for his performances.

With him being deployed on the left hand side and not the number ten spot that many feel he plays at his best as.

Despite the woeful showing England have topped their group but could face the Netherlands in the next round.

Foden made his debut for the senior Three Lions team in September 2020, and was also part of the side that competed in Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

So far in his England career he has won 37 caps for his country, scoring four goals.
