This time next year Pep Guardiola will be out of contact at Manchester City.
A new report has claimed that the 2024-25 season is expected to be his final one at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola isn’t expected to sign a new contract with Manchester City which would make next season his last at the club.
There has already been speculation over his replacement with several names being mentioned.

But Pep has already identified Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as his choice.
The Catalan was part of Guardiola’s coaching staff until he took the Arsenal job in December 2019 where he won the FA Cup and transformed the Gunners into title contenders.
Speaking three months before his departure from Manchester City, Guardiola lavished praise on his then coach.
He said: ‘I’m pretty sure [he’ll succeed me]. He will have success.’
“Sooner or later it’s going to happen.’
“He’s a young, young manager. He has experience already, handling big players and big teams. He’s got an incredible work ethic. He has a special talent to analyse what happens and to find solutions. We talk a lot about what he believes and how he feels.”
Guardiola went on to laud Arteta’s character: “He’s so happy when we win but suffers when we don’t and that is why he tries to find a solution.
“He’s an incredible human being, with incredible values about what it means in the locker room to be together, and he is already an incredible manager and he’ll have incredible success in his future. We see football in really quite a close way.”
