Oscar De La Hoya has made an incredible offer to every world champion.
De La Hoya had a glittering career sharing the ring with legendary fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao on the way to becoming a world champion in six different weight classes.

He believes the 90s are a different breed of fighter altogether and took to X (formerly Twitter) to make his offer to today’s crop of champions.
He posted: ‘They will never ever make 90s fighters the same. I will personal give a championship fighter 5 million dollars to fight 5 world title fights in 1 year.’

You only have to look at the heavyweight division to realise how little the belts have been defended in the past year.
Oleksandr Usyk took on Daniel Dubois and retained his WBA, IBF and WBO titles , meanwhile Tyson Fury’s WBC crown hasn’t been up for grabs since December last year when he defeated Derek Chisora for the third time.
