Nate Diaz said his goodbyes to the UFC by submitting Tony Ferguson with a perfectly executed guillotine.
Diaz headed into last night’s card thinking that he was going to be fighting Khamzat Chimaev in what would be his final ever appearance in the UFC.
However, after Chimaev weighed in more than seven pounds overweight, he was replaced on the main event by Tony Ferguson.
Diaz and Ferguson have long been in the same division but have never previously crossed paths. Last night they did, and it was Diaz who got the W.
Diaz landed a nice combination on Ferguson, who looked hurt, before taking him to the ground and ending the fight via a guillotine choke.
Diaz is one of the most memorable and renowned fighters in all of the UFC, so it’s excellent that he got the send off that his deserved, with a victory…
