The former Offaly hurler and RTE commentator Michael Duignan didn’t hold back when he was called out by Nenagh Éire Óg & two time All-Ireland with Tipperary Conor O’Donovan.

It is ruining the game. There is no skill in throwing the ball, it is allowing teams run up the field with the ball instead playing the ball with the hurley which is the primary aim of the game.

Brutal take by Conor there 😄. You did reference the quick puck out a few times yesterday tho (“Johnny allowed a quick puck out this time”) . Wide ball – quick one allowed. Score- quick one not allowed 💁🏻‍♂️

Without a doubt, the best co commentator in the GAA. Gives the viewer a brilliant insight into what’s going on all over the pitch. Top class stuff, Micheal 👏

  1. Playing a game of jersey pulling as well as push in the back.
In Croker 1954 there was none of that kid’s stuff.

  2. Allowing a blatant free and the attacker sends it wide while being held. Is this what advantage is meant to mean. No sit down protest by the Cork Hurlers unlike Offaly.1998. Offaly were oblivious to the fact that a reffs career was ruined by an honest mistake. He was scapegoated despite the fact that he was brother in law of an Offaly defender on the day. Why did he get the game?

  3. Bit of a difference in a game being called off 5 mins early and a ref missing a tug of a jersey 🤣 You have made 4 different points that in no way relate to each other. 🤦‍♂️
