Michael Conlan has guaranteed himself at least silver and will fight tomorrow for a gold medal at the European Championships.
The Olympic medallist won his semifinal bout against Italian Francesco Maietta on a scoreline of 30-27, 29-28, 29-28.

Conlan, who now boxes out of the Clonard ABC, beat the tough Italian to secure his second successive European Elite silver medal, at least.
He will fight British boxer Qais Ashfaq in the final. Conlan came out on top when the two last met in the Commonwelath Games.
