Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford has revealed the story of a time Manchester United helped him and his family as a child that he believes helped him get into the first team.
Speaking to UTD Podcast the United No.10 spoke of a time when he would sit at home crying because he missed training due to not having a lift.
“There were a few times when I would miss training because my mum had worked late, my brothers were working and my sisters both had babies, so there was just no way of me getting there.
“I remember missing training a few times and I just used to sit at home crying

I used to always stop [crying] before my mum came home from work but one time she came home early and caught me crying in the front room.
“When I told her why, she said to United, ‘We are going to need some form of help’, in order for me to get there.
Rashford goes on to say that without the help from United he would not have been able to impress at training and subsequently would have missed out on digs and ultimately the first team.
Rashford spoke to the Podcast to shine some light on his past and why he is so driven to help others in need – especially families with vulnerable children.
